Leadership Opportunities
Class Monitoring
Each Class has a system of Monitors who assist the teacher in maintaining discipline and decorum. They are usually selected for short terms to give opportunity to many.
The School also has two School Prefects and House Captains, appointed for every academic year. They assist the House Teachers in organizing Inter-House activities that take place throughout the year. They also assist in the development of House and School loyalty, and a keen and healthy sense of competitiveness and sportsmanship.
School Prefectorial Body
Students will belong to one of the four houses namely Opal House, Coral House, Jade House and Amber House. All activities focus energies and attitudes towards Team Work, Loyalty, Friendship, Fair play and Pride in the Alma Mater bearing in mind the spirit of the school Motto, ‘Lead Kindly Light’.
Each House has its motto and colour in the KGS House Song which is sung on Sundays and at official school functions.
School Council
A School Council comprising students from Grade IV and V plays an important role in the day-to day discipline of the school, as well as at special functions.
They are all part of the core principle of Leadership Qualities that every GEMS managed school seeks to develop in the children who attend.
