Vision and Mission

Vision and Mission

The Kindergarten Starters will be the preeminent intellectual and creative school where research and design transforms and drives approaches to learning and teaching addressing issues of urbanization, technological change, economic empowerment, sustainability and globalization through effective engagement employing better communication, systems and organizations to meet social needs. In doing so we will be laying foundations for life through the continuous pursuit of excellence.

Our vision, values and mission align itself with the shifts in the global economy, society and environment.  We desire to change the status quo through creativity and innovation – both in what and how we teach and in the intellectual ambitions of the school itself. We aim to orient our students’ academic experiences to become critically engaged citizens dedicated to solving problems and contributing to the public good thereby laying foundations for life.

The Kindergarten Starters will embrace these principles and innovate to address shifts in the global economy, society and environment that require individuals to grapple with complex problems, pursue more fluid and flexible career pathways and collaboratively create change.

The understanding of the Emirati culture and its contribution to the learning experiences is key to the success of the vision. The vision is closely aligned to the transformation that the region is experiencing and therefore the approaches to learning and teaching addressing issues of urbanization, technological change, economic empowerment, sustainability and globalization is better understood when the history and culture is understood in its context.  We cannot trace a path towards the future without understanding the past.  Through effective engagement with the local community and employing better communication, systems and organizations our students will strive to meet the social needs of UAE and the world.

School Mission

Our Mission is to build a sound foundation upon which children achieve their potential. We do this by encouraging children to explore, experiment and express themselves thereby stimulating thinking and learning through varied experiences. We provide emotional stability for children to learn with confidence and nurture children through the GEMS Core Values which reflect the traditional values. We develop initiative and enthusiasm for work so that all stakeholders are a living, vibrant and integral part of the community. We will continually raise aspirations and levels of attainment, and equip our students with the skills, knowledge and personal capabilities necessary to make a positive difference in an ever-changing world.

The Kindergarten Starters is born of the belief that what we do for ourselves fades away but what we do for others will remain as our legacy.  The school aims to develop leaders who will change the world through their thoughts and actions. The lives we touch will carry the impression of our fingerprints into the future. That is the legacy of leadership we wish to leave behind.

The Kindergarten Starters prepares students to become leaders by helping them to contribute and succeed in a continuously evolving global arena thereby ensuring that tomorrow’s world is a better and more just place. We help students build the skills and competencies for success and leadership in the emerging creative economy and generates practical and theoretical knowledge that improves conditions for local and global communities. Our legacy will be shaped by the Core Values that have defined our past: Academic Rigor, Tolerance, Philanthropy and Innovation.

Our Educational Approach

We will fulfil our mission by extending our legacy as a non-traditional school, nimble and responsive to change that

  • Focuses on and engages with critically contemporary issues
  •  Prioritizes humanity and culture in designing systems and environments to improve the human condition, an approach that draws from design thinking and the liberal, creative and performing arts

Places collaborative, project-based learning at the center of the educational experience.
